During the last days of American rock, the only bands worth recalling were those at the extremes. The Jesus Lizard embodied the summation of work by Scratch Acid and others in the field of noisy, sick and chaotic rock, and Goat is a fitting memorial to those endeavours. Goat presents sound, space and groove as pillars of rock in the post-melodic age, where only the chosen few would regurgitate the world’s last pop tunes. Engineered by Albini.
