High-density, super-heavy dissonant hardcore from a band expressing its political agenda through a mutant burn of ancient anarcho-beats resurrected for the end-of-millennium, assimilated and regurgitated through a crusher. Heavily distorted bass and two massive guitars form the substance of His Hero Is Gone’s oppressive attack, clashing and droning in ominous, menacing configurations. While His Hero Is Gone would no doubt inspire many imitators in the coming age of hollow mimicry, Monuments To Thieves seems unsurpassable in its singularity of sound and vision.
