Formed in 1980, Death Row were joined by former Pentagram vocalist Bobby Liebling before recording All Your Sins, which they self-released on cassette only in 1982. In 1984 the band actually changed its name to Pentagram, remixed All Your Sins, and self-released it on vinyl retitled Pentagram. The record was finally picked up for CD release in 1993 by Peaceville Records, who reverted to the original mixes but retitled the album Relentless. Dedicated to Blue Cheer and also recalling classic early 70s Black Sabbath, All Your Sins was the first significant American neo-heavy rock album of the 1980s, steeped in a new level of morbidity. Pentagram next recorded Day Of Reckoning (eventually released in 1987), their first album since changing names, but split up for several years soon after, only reforming when Peaceville released Relentless.
