CATEGORY: ANTI-ROCK | DURATION: 30 MINUTES

A new kind of anti-rock assault – 21 untitled instrumental fragments (one track is silent) of heavy driving percussion, electronic noise and abrasive electric guitar, most under 2 minutes in duration, many less than 1 minute. In just under 30 minutes of total playing time, Ein Produckt Der constitutes some of the heaviest, most experimental German music since Can’s Tago Mago. Within two years Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft had morphed into DAF, an electro-punk duo whose 1981 single “Der Mussolini” stands as a foundational recording of Europe’s emergent EBM (“electronic body music”) movement.
