Buzzcocks were among those English bands who in 1977 and 1978 seized the moment to relegate rock tropes to history and forge a new kind of guitar-driven art-pop, armoured with the velocity and fortitude of the hour. On their first album, aptly titled Another Music In A Different Kitchen, Buzzcocks present one of the first and most enduring manifestos of this new approach, simultaneously probing and commercial, and conceived with a concise artistic vision.
